Abstract Background While there are reviews of the literature on mental health stigma reduction programs, very few have focused on the workplace. Objective: We sought to identify, describe and compare the main characteristics of the interventions to reduce the stigma towards mental health at work. Method The search of original articles (2007 to 2022) was carried out in the Web of Science Core Collection and Scopus databases, selecting 25 articles from the key terms: 1. Stigma, 2. Workplace, 3. Anti-stigma intervention/program, 4. Mental health. Results: These interventions can be effective in changing the knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of workers towards people with mental health problems, although further verification of these results is needed as they are limited to date. Discussion and conclusion Interventions to reduce stigma in the workplace could create more supportive work environments by reducing negative attitudes and discrimination and improving awareness of mental disorders.

The child Behavior checklist/1.5-5 and the caregiver/teacher report Form are one of the most widely internationally recognized instruments to evaluate desadaptative behaviors which may affect the current and future development of preschool children. The psychometric behavior of both instruments was evaluated in a socioeconomically diverse sample of 550 chilean preschool children. In general, it was observed an analog behavior of both compared to the one obtained with studies in other societies. The confirmatory factor analysis showed a suitable adjustment of the original bifactor model. However, in the CBCL, the scores obtained are higher than in most of the countries and, comparatively, in both instruments, a greater effect of gender was observed. The findings obtained are analyzed and, normative and conceptual suggestions are given for the use of both instruments in preschool children in our country.

El Inventario de Conductas Infantiles 1.5-5 años (CBCL/1.5-5 por su acrónimo en inglés) y el informe del cuidador/educador (C-TRF por su acrónimo en inglés), son de los instrumentos más ampliamente reconocidos internacionalmente para evaluar conductas desadaptativas que pueden afectan el desarrollo presente y futuro de niños y niñas preescolares. Se evaluó el comportamiento psicométrico de ambos instrumentos en una muestra diversa socioeconómicamente de 550 preescolares chilenos. En general, ambos mostraron un comportamiento psicométrico análogo al obtenido con estudios en otras sociedades. Los análisis factoriales confirmatorios mostraron un ajuste adecuado del modelo bifactorial original. Sin embargo, en el CBCL/1.5-5 los puntajes obtenidos son más altos que en la mayoría de los países y, comparativamente, en ambos instrumentos, se observó un mayor efecto de género. Se analizan los hallazgos obtenidos, y se dan sugerencias normativas y conceptuales para el empleo de ambos instrumentos en niños y niñas preescolares en nuestro país.

Social rehabilitation (SR) of people who break the law is the key objective of intervention programs in Chilean jails. The goal of this research was to elicit the meaning that prison officers attach to social rehabilitation and their implications for relational practices. We conducted semi-structured interviews to fifteen officers: uniformed staff, professional staff, chaplains and instructors. The full texts of the interviews were analyzed in terms of contents and topic. Results were organized around four categories: political-institutional; subjective-formative; inter-jail; and significance to the inmate. The first conceives SR as an institutional goal related to its value-based mandate. In the second category, SR anchors on the acquisition of technical skills and on personal experience. The third category sees it as a way to regulate different types of intra-jail dynamics. In the last category, SR centers on the inmate, including his/her personal dimension, family and community. These forms of understanding the concept make a contribution to establish the social practices that generate inside jails.

La reinserción social (RS) de personas que infringen la ley es el objetivo primordial de los programas de intervención en los recintos penitenciarios en Chile. La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo conocer el significado que le dan los funcionarios de un Centro de Cumplimiento Penitenciario a la reinserción social y sus implicancias en las prácticas relacionales. Se realizaron entrevistas semi-estructuradas a 15 miembros del personal: uniformados, profesionales, capellanes y profesores. Los corpus fueron analizados mediante análisis de contenido y temático. Los resultados se organizan en torno a cuatro categorías: político-institucional; subjetivo-formativo; interaccional-intrapenitenciario y significado acerca del interno. La primera concibe la reinserción social como una meta institucional que está ligada al mandato valórico social. Para la segunda la reinserción social está anclada en la formación profesional y en la experiencia personal. La tercera la ve como una forma de regulación de diversos tipos de dinámicas intrapenitenciarias. Finalmente, en la última categoría la reinserción social se centra en el interno, abarcando su dimensión personal, familiar y comunitaria. Estas formas de entender el concepto contribuyen a determinar las prácticas sociales que se generan al interior del recinto penal.
